I’m looking for an experienced elementary educator to provide in person, one on one instruction for my 10 year old daughter, currently in 5th grade.
This is not traditional after school tutoring. I’m looking for someone who can serve as her primary homeschool educator for the remainder of the school year, approximately 3 to 4 hours per day, 3 to 4 days per week.
The teacher should be comfortable teaching and planning across 5th grade ELA, math, science and social studies, tracking progress, assigning independent work and providing regular feedback.
She’s an academically capable child and a particularly strong reader. She responds well to individualized instruction and occasional redirection.
Prior elementary classroom teaching experience strongly preferred. Experience with NYC independent or public schools is a plus.
This is a consistent daytime position through the remainder of the academic year.

Looking for someone available to help my 1st grade son with writing (for example: understanding when a word ends so spacing is done correctly, copying down a sentence completely in a reasonable amount of time, becoming proficient in getting a mental/verbal sentence down on paper completely in a reasonable amount of time).

I am looking for an english tutor for my 2 sons - ages 9 and 12 who are neurodiverse. The 9 yo has Autism, ADHD, and dyslexia, and is quite behind his grade level in reading (he's in 4th grade and at a 1st-2nd grade level). He is also generally challenging to work with and can avoid doing things he doesn't like.
The 12 yo has autism, and is a fantastic reader, and loves to write his own fiction. However it seems his school has neglected to teach him grammar and punctuation. We are wondering whether it would be a good idea for him to take the SHSAT next year, but regardless, his grammar needs work. He is easier to work with than the 9 yo, but can also shut down when frustrated.
