I volunteered for six months as a reading comprehension tutor at Teton Literacy Center, where I worked one-on-one with a sixth-grade student to improve her reading and writing skills. My approach to tutoring in these subjects is to lead with patience and enthusiasm. As skills improve, so too does the student's enjoyment and appreciation for the gift of reading!
I currently work as Content Marketing Manager for Outdoor Industry Association, and am more than happy to share knowledge and best practices for pursuing a career in marketing with curious young professionals as well.
