I am have my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education through Idaho State University with a Middle School Science endorsement. Throughout my program, I have completed extensive classroom field experiences and student teaching in a 3rd grade classroom at Pinedale Elementary School. My experience includes teaching whole-group lessons, working with small intervention groups, and providing individualized support in reading, math, science, and study skills.
I have experience working with elementary and middle school students in both one-on-one and classroom settings. During student teaching, I planned and taught lessons aligned with state standards, differentiated instruction to meet a variety of student needs, and used positive classroom management strategies to create a supportive learning environment. I also worked closely with students who needed additional support in reading comprehension, phonics, fluency, math problem solving, and science concepts.
My teaching approach focuses on building confidence, creating engaging lessons, and adapting instruction to fit each student’s learning style. I believe students learn best when they feel supported, encouraged, and comfortable making mistakes while learning. I use visuals, guided practice, hands-on strategies, and clear step-by-step instruction to help students succeed and gain independence in their learning. I have experience working in day care settings as well and am so excited to meet and start tutoring each student!
