I am a certified math educator with more than ten years of classroom teaching experience, specializing in middle school mathematics. Throughout my career, I have worked with students of varying skill levels, from those who need extra support building foundational skills to those seeking greater academic challenges. My educational background, combined with my teaching experience and ongoing work in higher education student support, has given me the ability to explain mathematical concepts in clear, relatable ways that help students gain both understanding and confidence.

My teaching experience includes traditional classroom and online instruction,, and one-on-one academic support. I have taught students in grades 6–9 and have experience helping learners strengthen skills in pre-algebra, algebra, problem solving, and test preparation. I believe every student can succeed in math when instruction is tailored to their individual learning style. My tutoring approach focuses on breaking complex concepts into manageable steps, encouraging critical thinking, and creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes.

My goal is not only to improve grades and test scores but also to help students develop lasting confidence in their mathematical abilities. I strive to make math approachable, engaging, and less intimidating by connecting concepts to real-life situations and celebrating each student’s progress along the way. Watching students move from frustration to confidence is the most rewarding part of teaching, and I am committed to helping every learner reach their full potential.
