I graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering in May of 2025, and are currently pursuing a Masters degree in mechanical engineering from WVU. During my time at WVU I was a University certified private tutor for 3 years, and employed by the Engineering Learning Center, the engineering departments internal tutoring service for 2 years. During this time I tutored a majority of the classes a mechanical engineer needs to take, including Math, Physics, Engineering specific classes and MATLAB. During this time Physics became my specialty.
During this time I tutored groups and individual students with time ranging from 20 minutes for single problems, to 2 hours, covering entire chapters of material. My tutoring style focuses on fostering a deeper understanding of the material and then connecting that understanding to the standard process of doing problems with that material. Finally concepts are reenforced through active recall, solidifying conceptual connections.
