Hi, my name is Hillary! I received by B.A. in Chemistry in 2017, and I graduated with a 3.9 GPA. I am currently a 6th year MD/PhD candidate receiving my PhD in Cancer Cell Biology, and I am in the top quartile of my class. The undergraduate STEM courses I have taken and excelled in include: General chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics, Physical Chemistry, Quantum Chemistry, Calculus 1 & 2, Biochemistry, Genetics, Neuroscience, and Physiology (GPA: 3.9). I have also completed the pre-clinical years of the medical school curriculum, including Biochemistry, Physiology, Neuroscience, Anatomy, Pharmacology, Pathology, Microbiology, and Immunology (Top 25% of class). In my PhD work, I have taken courses in Cancer Cell Signaling, Cancer Pharmacology, and Advanced Immunology (GPA: 4.0). I have a diverse background in the STEM field with a specific focus in pre-health professions courses.

I have served as a teaching assistant for Organic Chemistry (100 level course), General Chemistry (200 level course), and Physical Chemistry (300 level course). Since every student is different, my tutoring philosophy is to understand each student's specific strengths and weaknesses and design tutoring based on their unique skillset. Not only do I help students with understanding their current coursework, but I also try to equip them with good study techniques and habits that they can apply to future coursework. My tutoring is intended to set the groundwork for students to be successful throughout the remainder of their academic careers.

Previous students have commented that my teaching style is very thorough, well prepared, and nonjudgemental. If you are struggling with any of your STEM or pre-health coursework, I can help!
