I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Middle Level/Secondary Education from the University of Northern Iowa, with endorsements to teach 6th–12th Social Studies and English/Language Arts. I also earned an Associate of Arts degree from North Iowa Area Community College, graduating with a 3.5 GPA. Recognized for academic excellence and leadership, I was inducted into the National Honors Society and the National Society of Leadership and Success, and awarded multiple scholarships.
I bring versatile teaching experience across a wide range of grades and subjects. I currently teach 7–12 Social Studies at GMG Community Schools, leading courses in U.S. History, World History, World Geography, Economics, and more. Previously, I taught 6–8 English/Language Arts and 1st/2nd grade interventions at North Iowa CSD. My biggest strengths as an educator are building strong relationships with students, adapting quickly to changing circumstances, and fostering engagement through interactive, student-centered instruction. I honed my adaptability during my student teaching when I transitioned to virtual teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring students continued to learn despite challenges.
Beyond the classroom, I contribute to my school community as a Freshman Class Sponsor, Building Leadership Team member, and multi-sport coach in basketball, golf, and softball. I have taught and coached learners from early elementary to high school in both classroom and one-on-one settings. My combination of strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills—paired with a genuine passion for helping students succeed—allows me to create a positive, motivating learning environment where all students can thrive.
