I'm Stephanie! I graduated from California State University Bakersfield in 2018 with a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies with a minor in English. I did graduate school at Brandman University, which has now changed its name to University of Massachusetts- Global, where I studied Special Education.
During my time as a college student, I tutored English and Math for an AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) program at a dual-enrollment high school. The high school campus is on the same campus as the community college. Students were required to attend high school and college classes. On graduation day, they graduated with a high school diploma, and an Associate's degree.
Once I completed college, I stopped tutoring and began teaching. I have been a Special Education teacher for 7 years in varying grade levels, but am currently teaching Middle School Special Education English, Reading, and Social Studies.
I strive to give my students an engaging and relaxed experience, where they feel safe to learn and make mistakes. I am available to be reached at any time and respond quickly. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, or to schedule a lesson!
