Hello! I'm a native English speaker from West Virginia, and I have a bachelor's degree in English and Intercultural Studies and a certification in TESOL from Southeastern University. I love teaching English because I love connecting with people! My passion for teaching has led me to do some pretty cool things, including three years of in-person ESL instruction and two years of online tutoring. Additionally, I had the opportunity to teach an intensive English course in Nepal for five weeks in 2018.

I have worked with a variety of students, primarily adults, who are at the high beginner (A2) to intermediate (B1-B2) levels. I believe that one-on-one lessons are among the most effective methods for language acquisition because they allow for personalized instruction. My goal is to help you develop fluency and confidence in using English, whether for professional or everyday situations.

In our sessions, we will cover all essential language skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. I emphasize practical usage, ensuring you can actually use verb tenses, prepositions, and other challenging aspects of English in real life. If you are interested in business English, let me know and we'll make sure to build up your business vocabulary as we work on your English. If you are interested in TOEFL test prep, you must be at least a B2 already. If you aren't there yet, we will work on your basic English skills before moving to test prep. My test prep lessons are specifically designed to teach the skills required to take the TOEFL, not the English grammar you need to be successful.
