I enjoy working with students to overcome problems and learn skills they’ll need in real life. Making learning fun, using strategies that fit each individual student, and giving relatable examples all help students succeed and gain confidence in themselves and their abilities.

Certified K-6 in All subjects. I have worked with students at all elementary grades. The use of visual, auditory and tactile strategies coupled with practice are key. Making it a game is always fun for the student and they learn along the way.

I have taught English/Reading/Writing most in my years as an educator. I know many ways to scaffold instruction, and find or make resources that help students. Leveled guided reading instruction is very important as well as finding a students interest so they want to read.

It’s always important to know each student is unique and will have their own strengths and weaknesses. Being sure to chunk learning, modifying as needed and using accommodations all go into helping students building it up to a skill. It’s is always a process as well as practice and patience.

I am trained in the phonics programs of Wilson reading and Orton Gillingham.

I’m excited and happy to help with your school work or a skill you’re having a hard time with. I look forward to working with you!!

Art savvy and experienced tutor

Renee excels at understanding both the graphic art field and how to navigate the challenges of job hunting. Despite not knowing my location that well, Renee was able to find some great prospective jobs that fit both my area of expertise and persona needs.
