Bio

Does your child say “I just don’t get it” when they sit down to do math? I’m a full-time math teacher and a licensed special education teacher, and helping students who feel stuck is what I do best.

I have 8 years of teaching experience. I currently teach 5th–7th grade math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, and Trigonometry, and I tutor up to Pre-Calculus.

I have 8 years of teaching experience. I currently teach 5th–7th grade math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, and Trigonometry, and I tutor up to Pre-Calculus.

How I work:
I find the real gap. Most struggles in Algebra or Geometry go back to a few missing skills, like fractions, negatives, or reading word problems carefully. I figure out where your student’s gap started and fill it.
I go at your student’s pace. My special education background means I’m used to breaking things into clear, simple steps and adjusting when something isn’t working.
I build confidence, not just grades. Students learn to tackle problems on their own instead of freezing up.

Algebra 1

I teach Algebra 1 full time at an online school, and I’ve taught it in the classroom and as a tutor for years. I specialize in students who feel lost, and I start by finding the gaps behind the struggle, like fractions, negative numbers, or reading word problems. As a licensed special education teacher, I break multi-step equations, graphing, and functions into clear, manageable steps and adjust to each student’s pace. My goal is for students to understand why each step works so they can solve problems confidently on their own.
Algebra 2

I teach Algebra 2 full time at an online school and have also taught it in the classroom and as a tutor. Many students struggle in Algebra 2 because of shaky Algebra 1 skills, so I quickly find and fix those gaps while we work on current topics like quadratics, polynomials, and exponential and logarithmic functions. As a licensed special education teacher, I break complex, multi-step problems into clear steps and connect each new idea to what students already know. Students leave sessions understanding the why behind each method, not just how to get through the homework.
Elementary Math

I hold a California Multiple Subject credential for elementary teaching and a Wisconsin Elementary teaching license and currently teach 5th and 6th grade math full time at an online school. I teach Geometry full time at an online school and have taught it in the classroom and as a tutor. Geometry asks students to reason, explain, and read diagrams in new ways, so I teach clear habits like marking up every diagram, mastering key vocabulary, and building proofs one logical step at a time. I also catch the algebra gaps that often hide behind “I’m bad at Geometry,” since many problems come down to solving equations. As a licensed special education teacher, I make abstract ideas visual and concrete so students can work through problems with confidence.
Prealgebra

I teach Pre-Algebra full time at an online school, along with 5th–7th grade math, and have taught it in the classroom and as a tutor. Pre-Algebra is where small gaps in fractions, decimals, negative numbers, and math facts start causing big problems, so I find and fill those gaps first. I also teach students to slow down and read word problems carefully, since many mistakes come from misreading what the question asks. As a licensed special education teacher, I use clear steps, visuals, and lots of encouragement to build the skills and confidence students need for Algebra 1.
Precalculus

Precalculus

I’m a full-time math teacher who teaches Algebra 2 and Trigonometry, and I tutor Pre-Calculus students who want stronger understanding and better grades. Pre-Calculus moves fast and assumes solid algebra, so I strengthen skills like factoring, functions, and working with exponents while covering current topics such as trig functions, logarithms, and graphing. As a licensed special education teacher, I break dense material into clear steps and help students see how each topic connects. My goal is to prepare students for Calculus with real understanding, not just memorized procedures.
