I hold a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Construction Management from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Motivated by a deep and enduring passion for data-driven problem-solving, I also pursued a Ph.D. minor in Statistics through UW–Madison’s Department of Statistics. I hold a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Construction Management from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Motivated by a deep and enduring passion for data-driven problem-solving, I also pursued a Ph.D. minor in Statistics through UW–Madison’s Department of Statistics. This combination strengthened my ability to approach complex engineering challenges with analytical precision. To further broaden my perspective, I also completed a graduate certificate in Business, Environmental, and Social Responsibility (BESR) from the Wisconsin School of Business, reflecting my commitment to integrating sustainability, ethics, and strategic thinking into the built environment.

I am currently working as a professional engineer, but prior to this, I spent over 9 years in academia—5 years as a graduate student and 4 years as a professor—teaching a variety of civil engineering and construction management courses at the college level.

I’ve helped numerous students successfully pass the FE Civil Engineering Exam. I know the ins and outs of the exam and can help you master the key concepts, strengthen your problem-solving skills, and build the confidence you need to succeed on exam day.

Absolutely great!

I'm working on a senior level capstone in my bachelors of science degree for Construction Management. Karim, being a seasoned civil engineer, was capable of walking me through some of the more technical aspects of reading architectural drawings and conducting quantity takeoffs, along with the quantity estimates that follow. He was able to help me troubleshoot how to determine the best estimating practices for some of the sitework, and he did so in a very great amount of detail. He was nice, very patient, and most importantly, taught me a lot in just a two hour session! Totally worth the price, he was awesome! I would recommend him.
