I have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and a Doctorate in Chemistry. I have taught mathematics and chemistry at two universities in Massachusetts and Wisconsin. My total experience spans 12 years of teaching at all undergraduate levels. In addition, I have real life industrial experience in engineering and management.
I have a passion for seeing students succeed. I attempt to determine strengths and weaknesses in each person I tutor. I build on their strengths and attack the deficiencies. I have a proven record of student ratings which I can provide to anyone interested. I believe that successful teaching and learning can only be achieved if there is a strong communication between the student and teacher. Dave was very knowledgeable of the subject matter we reviewed and was able to explain things in a clear, simple matter. I look forward to future tutoring sessions with Dave and am confident that he will help me achieve my goal of a higher GMAT math score.
My daughter had issues with Calculus BC. Even after one lesson, my daughter said that she understands the material now. He also prepared practice problems for her so she can study for an exam.
David worked with my daughter to study for a Pre calculus exam. He spent 2 hours with her and it was money well spent. She walked away saying he was the best tutor she has had so far. He spoke to her In a way she could understand and made a point to cover all the material we needed in the time frame.
After my son's first lesson he said he explained the topic very well! He said he didn't feel like he was a tutor but instead a teacher! He felt he just as good as his high school teacher!
My daughter had her first lesson with David after performing poorly on a Geometry test. He was able to assess her abilities, answer her questions, and, more importantly, gave her the confidence that she can be successful going forward.
David helped me understand the logic of how to solve the problem as well as key rules to remember as I approach new and different problems. He is very patient and helpful!

I earned my bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Cincinnati. During my industrial career I have been involved with numerous projects that utilize the basic principles of chemical engineering. These include process optimization, unit operations, heat transfer, thermodynamics, and manufacturing processes. During the past 11 years, I have taught a number of courses at a local university that are basic to any chemical engineering curriculum.
I have a Ph.D. in chemistry and have worked as an industrial/university chemist for most of my career.
I have 5 years experience teaching chemistry at the university level.
I have successfully managed projects at major corporations over the past 25 years. In addition, I have
