Hi! My name is Josh, and I’m an incoming medical student at the Medical College of Wisconsin with a strong background in biology and organic chemistry coursework. In addition to tutoring, I would also be happy to provide pre-med mentoring and medical school application guidance for students interested in pursuing careers in healthcare. I graduated from Boston College, where I earned A grades in both Organic Chemistry I and II and completed extensive science classes including introductory biology, genetics, biochemistry I, and psychology. Throughout college, I learned how important it is to have a tutor who can break down difficult concepts into simple, understandable steps, and that is the same approach I bring to every session.
I have experience mentoring and tutoring students in both volunteer and one-on-one settings, helping them improve not only their grades but also their confidence. I previously worked with high school students through the Boston College Neighborhood Center tutoring program, where I regularly helped students with challenging coursework and study strategies. I understand that every student learns differently, so I focus on adapting my explanations to fit the individual rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.
My goal as a tutor is to make difficult subjects feel manageable and less overwhelming. Whether you need help understanding foundational concepts, preparing for exams, improving study habits, or working through practice problems, I aim to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. I especially enjoy helping students connect concepts together in subjects like biology, genetics, organic chemistry, and psychology so they can build long-term understanding rather than just memorizing information for a test.
