My name is Sam, and I am an undergraduate student newly transferred to the University of Minnesota Twin Cities pursuing my Bachelors in Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics. I graduated from Lake Superior College in May 2026 with an AA in Liberal Arts and an AA Mathematics Transfer Pathway.
I previously tutored a sixth grade Math class during Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 in a classroom setting, as well as tutoring private individuals and friends while in college in Algebra, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus. My strategy is always to listen first and try to meet fellow students where they are at in helping them understand the material. I recognize that what was intuitive to me may not be intuitive to others, and I believe anyone is capable of understanding with enough patience and active guidance. The education system does not meet everyone's needs, so I want to be just one little extra help for students to feel more confident in their education.
I do best in helping students with homework, but I can take the time to help students in understanding full lessons if needed, using visual and real world examples to help make the subject more intuitive.
