Hello! My name is Felicia. I am currently working as an intermediate elementary special education teacher working with a cross categorical caseload. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Superior in Elementary Education in 2017 and my Master's degree in Special Education in 2023.

Beyond my general special education expertise, I have significant experience supporting students with a wide range of learning differences and academic needs. I am particularly adept at helping students develop stronger foundational skills in reading, writing, and mathematics. I can also provide support with organization, study skills, and executive functioning to help students become more independent and successful learners across all subject areas.

One of the aspects I value most in my teaching is the ability to adapt my approach to meet the unique needs of each learner. I utilize a variety of research-based strategies and resources to create engaging and effective learning experiences. Whether your student needs help catching up, mastering challenging concepts, or simply gaining more confidence in a particular subject, I am dedicated to providing personalized support that leads to meaningful growth.

I believe that effective tutoring involves strong communication and collaboration. I am committed to working closely with parents and, when appropriate, classroom teachers to gain a comprehensive understanding of each student's strengths, challenges, and goals. By working together, we can create a cohesive support system that maximizes your student's progress and fosters a positive learning experience.

I believe it is important for students to gain confidence in their own abilities to be able to grow and find success in their own education. My approach is to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable taking risks and celebrating their progress.
