Bio

I love tutoring math to students at all levels from elementary math through college level calculus as well as physics and general chemistry. My goal is to make learning an enjoyable experience for my students, working to help them reach their full potential. I have the ability to make what seems difficult and complex easily understood.

My experience includes tutoring at the Omega School in Madison plus over 2,200 hours tutoring with WyzAnt.

I received my BS from Northwestern University with Highest Distinction in engineering with the equivalent of a math major. I also have an MS degree in engineering from Stanford that I received as a National Science Foundation Graduate Fellow. I in addition I have an MBA from Harvard Business School where I concentrated in Finance and Manufacturing.

In teaching Advanced Algebra and Precalculus, I cover the following topics with the student: 1.Review of Word Problems and Dimensional Analysis 2.Linear and Quadratic Functions 3.Polynomial and Rational Functions 4.Exponential and Logarithmic Functions Including e, the Bases of the Natural Logarithm 5.Sequences and Series 6.Complex Numbers 7.Trigonometric Functions 8.Introduction to Differential and Integral Calculus Where possible, I use the student's own text book as this basis for teaching the above. Otherwise, I can provide teaching material.

I have my ASVAB students work with sample ASVAB tests in those areas that they need to learn. We can then determine which areas that are giving them difficulty for us to explore further.

I use the student's own text book and tailor my tutoring to the student's needs.

I lead the redesign of the manufacturing facility for WAXCOA using project management software. Extensive experience includes using Gant Charts and PERT Charts for project management.
