Accommodating and Insightful Tutor
"I took AP World History and AP US History over the past 2 years, and having been new to AP courses, I was really confused with the format of the exam and how to approach questions. Not only did Claire make it easy for me to understand all the SAQs, DBQs, LEQs, and MCQs, but she worked with me through the process to really hone in on my weak points. She taught me the basics as well as advanced AP History specific test-taking strategies in proper fashion and timeliness to make sure I was actually progressing. Not only that, every content weak point I had was covered - which was especially helpful for the high level of mastery of content needed for AP US History. On top of all this - she was fun and pleasant to talk to. I highly recommend Claire for anyone struggling on any or all parts of AP World or AP US History. I would especially recommend working with her to truly find and tackle your specific weakpoints - no matter how many or how stupid you think they might be - because that's where I saw the most growth (ex: the DBQ, Step-By-Step Process for solving an MCQ, specific evidence to use to support "X" argument). Great Experience!
Having a child who does not particularly like History, I was concerned when my daughter chose AP World History as one of her classes this past school year. Claire made it easy for her. Helping her understand how to write, DBQ's, FRQ's, in a way that would help her earn top scores. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that my daughter earned a 5 on the AP World History Exam.
