While in school, I tutored both middle-school-aged and adult clients. With the school children, we spent one-on-one time completing homework assignments and digging deeper into any subject areas that gave them trouble. With my adult clients, we focused on completing school assignments as well as editing and constructive criticism on writing projects.
I also spent three years with VSU's independent student newspaper. I came on staff as a reporter during my freshman year and worked up to editor-in-chief by junior year. During this time, I also mentored other editors, reporters, and journalism students.
In my free time, I love to read, craft, and study languages. I've formally studied English, Latin, and Spanish. I'm currently self-studying Japanese. My greatest passions are encouraging free and creative thinking alongside fostering a love of learning in all people.
