I have a passion for helping my students understand the theory and applications of economics in the real world. As an experienced teacher/tutor of Economics, broad field social sciences, and economic history, I delight in helping my students become life-long learners, who are capable of understanding and applying theory to events and problems in the world around them.
With nearly 20 years of formal training in technical, creative, and business world writing and composition, I have a passion for helping my students also acquire and apply these skills and techniques. I delight in helping my students develop writing skills that serve them well in both their academic and professional pursuits and assignments.
I have taught both at the high school and college levels. As an instructor of Macroeconomics, I enjoy helping my students understand the theories and behaviors of overall economic systems (macro) as they present themselves in the real world around them. As an instructor of Microeconomics, I attempt to help my students understand and apply the concepts of individual economic markets and the real world economic actors within those markets (micro).At both the Macro and Micro levels I delight in using real world examples and behavior to make the theories of Macroeconomics and Microeconomics more understandable and relevant.
I have taught American economic history and political economy (government and politics) at the college level for a number of years, stressing at all times the actual real world applications of the theories and concepts of American economic history and political economy. American economic history, government, and politics are all best understood as they intertwine to comprise the lessons of American political economy
