I am a Registered Nurse with several years of healthcare experience, including experience as both an LPN and RN. I currently work in an outpatient OB/GYN setting, where patient education is an important part of my role. My nursing background has given me a strong foundation in areas such as nursing fundamentals, pharmacology, medical-surgical nursing, maternal and reproductive health, patient safety, and clinical judgment. I have successfully completed nursing school and the NCLEX-RN, so I understand firsthand the challenges nursing students face while preparing for exams and transitioning from memorizing information to applying it in clinical situations.
Education is a significant part of my work as a nurse. I regularly explain complex medical information in a way that is understandable and less overwhelming, and I enjoy adapting my approach based on the needs of the individual. I have also worked with nursing students and newer nurses in the clinical setting, helping them strengthen their knowledge, clinical reasoning, and confidence. My tutoring approach focuses on understanding the “why” behind an answer rather than simply memorizing facts. For NCLEX preparation, I can help students work through practice questions, identify key information, use prioritization strategies, and understand the rationale behind both correct and incorrect answer choices.
I would especially enjoy working with nursing students and NCLEX candidates who feel overwhelmed by the amount of material they are expected to know. I strive to create a supportive, judgment-free learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and identifying areas where they need additional help. Sessions can be tailored to each student’s goals, whether that means reviewing a difficult nursing concept, preparing for an upcoming exam, practicing NCLEX-style questions, or developing stronger test-taking and clinical judgment skills.
