I graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, licensed for grades 1–9 in May of 2025. My teacher preparation program provided strong training in instructional strategies, assessment, differentiation, and classroom management. During my student teaching experience, I worked in both a middle school history classroom and a third-grade classroom, which gave me experience supporting learners across a wide developmental range.
I am currently a 6th grade science and social studies teacher. In my role, I implement a standards-based curriculum and adapt lessons to meet the needs of my students. I regularly provide small-group and one-on-one support, helping students better understand content, strengthen study skills, and build confidence in their abilities. While I have not formally tutored before, my daily classroom experience includes individualized instruction that closely mirrors a tutoring setting.
In addition to my classroom teaching experience, I worked for two years at an early childhood center, supporting young learners in developing foundational academic and social-emotional skills. I also worked as a summer nanny for an 8-year-old and a 3-year-old child who was nonverbal. This experience strengthened my patience, flexibility, and ability to support children with diverse communication and learning needs.
I am passionate about helping students feel capable and supported. I focus on building positive relationships, providing clear explanations, and using structured strategies to help students grow academically and gain confidence as independent learners.
