I’m a certified special education teacher with over 11 years of classroom experience working with students from elementary through high school. I hold a bachelor’s degree in education and am currently earning my master’s in Children’s Law and Policy from Loyola University Chicago. My work has centered on supporting students with diverse learning needs, including those with IEPs, ADHD, learning disabilities, and executive functioning challenges. I believe every child is capable, and I specialize in helping discouraged learners rebuild their confidence and approach academics with renewed energy and tools that work for them.

My tutoring style is strengths-based, compassionate, and highly personalized. I take time to understand each student’s learning profile and adapt my instruction to meet their needs in real time—whether they’re struggling with decoding and reading comprehension, organizing their thoughts in writing, or managing the demands of school with executive functioning supports. I’ve worked one-on-one in both school and home settings, virtually and in person, and have guided students not just toward better grades, but toward deeper self-understanding and independence. Building trust is central to my approach, and I work closely with families when needed to create lasting support systems.

ADHD

ADHD

I’ve spent 11+ years as a special education teacher helping kids with ADHD harness their energy, build routines that stick, and enjoy learning again. I know focus isn’t about “trying harder”—it’s about finding what works for your brain. Whether we’re tackling executive functioning, emotional regulation, or schoolwork that feels overwhelming, I bring structure with flexibility and a whole lot of encouragement. I meet students where they are—and help them realize how much they’re capable of.
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

With 11+ years as a special education teacher, I’ve had the joy of supporting incredible students across the autism spectrum. I focus on building trust, honoring communication styles, and creating calm, predictable learning spaces where kids can thrive. Whether we’re working on academic goals, executive functioning, or just learning how to be in this world, I meet each student with patience, creativity, and respect for who they are. Every child deserves to feel safe, seen, and celebrated—and I bring that energy to every session.
Common Core

Common Core

I’ve taught Common Core standards in reading, writing, and math for over 11 years as a certified teacher, and I know how to make them make sense. I break concepts down in ways that actually stick, using real-life examples, visuals, and student-friendly strategies. Whether your child is overwhelmed or just needs a confidence boost, I bring structure, encouragement, and a little humor to every session. My goal is to help students feel capable, not just compliant, and to show them they can absolutely do this.
Elementary (K-6th)

Elementary (K-6th)

I’m a certified special education teacher with 11+ years of experience helping elementary students grow in reading, writing, and confidence. I specialize in supporting kids with IEPs, ADHD, and big feelings who just need someone to “get” them. My approach is calm, creative, and always centered on what works best for your child. Whether it’s organizing thoughts for writing or unlocking a love for books, I meet kids where they are—and cheer them forward.
Executive Functioning

Executive Functioning

As a special education teacher for over 11 years, I’ve helped students build real-life executive functioning skills like organization, time management, task initiation, and emotional regulation. I break things down into doable steps, celebrate progress (big and small), and teach strategies kids can actually remember and use. Whether your child feels scattered, stuck, or just needs someone to help them figure it all out, I’m here with patience, structure, and a little humor. Executive function is a skill set, not a character trait—and I help students grow it with confidence.
Special Needs

Special Needs

I’m a certified special education teacher with over 11 years of experience supporting students with a wide range of needs, including ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, and emotional regulation challenges. I specialize in building trust, creating calm, and helping students discover what works for them. Whether your child needs academic support, executive functioning help, or just someone who truly understands neurodivergence, I meet them with patience, creativity, and care. Every child deserves to feel capable, and I’m here to make sure they do.
