I’m a certified special education teacher with over 11 years of classroom experience working with students from elementary through high school. I hold a bachelor’s degree in education and am currently earning my master’s in Children’s Law and Policy from Loyola University Chicago. My work has centered on supporting students with diverse learning needs, including those with IEPs, ADHD, learning disabilities, and executive functioning challenges. I believe every child is capable, and I specialize in helping discouraged learners rebuild their confidence and approach academics with renewed energy and tools that work for them.
My tutoring style is strengths-based, compassionate, and highly personalized. I take time to understand each student’s learning profile and adapt my instruction to meet their needs in real time—whether they’re struggling with decoding and reading comprehension, organizing their thoughts in writing, or managing the demands of school with executive functioning supports. I’ve worked one-on-one in both school and home settings, virtually and in person, and have guided students not just toward better grades, but toward deeper self-understanding and independence. Building trust is central to my approach, and I work closely with families when needed to create lasting support systems.
