Hello! My name is Amoun S., but all my students call me Dr. A. I have a doctorate from the University of Michigan Law School. I practice law for 10 years before I switch to the education field. I find that I get tremendous satisfaction from helping students learn. I taught as an adjunct professor for American National University for 1.5 years. Since then, I have taught English online to foreign students for the past 3+ years. My family has a history of teaching as my grandfather was a teacher and three of my uncles are teachers.

I love teaching students to excel in whatever they want to achieve. I don't just teach, I give students knowledge about the "why". Learning is more than memorizing facts, it is mastery of a subject. I teach my students to appreciate creativity. Creativity is an ability that is incredibly hard to teach. But once achieved, it brings insight into every endeavor that a student may want to try. Creativity can be applied to any discipline and in any context to achieve maximum performance.

I am patient but challenge my students. I ask them penetrating questions to test their knowledge. I ask them to demonstrate their abilities. I work to develop new skills. You will not only learn the knowledge in the subject I am teaching but you will learn life-long skills that will help you throughout your academic career. I am very professional and bring all of my experience to give you the very best and rewarding experience possible.
