I graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Marquette University in both Elementary Education and Spanish. I taught 4th and 5th grade (all subjects) for 8 years on the south side of Milwaukee. I received my master's degree in Educational Leadership from Marquette University in 2020. I currently serve as an Elementary Instructional Coach at a bilingual elementary school in Milwaukee, where I work with teachers and students in grades Pre-K to 4. I have experience teaching all subjects in grade levels K-8, with the most experience in 3rd-5th grade Math and Literacy. As an Elementary Instructional Coach, I have the advantage of being able to work with multiple grade levels and remain up to date on the best instructional practices and curriculum currently taught in Wisconsin.
I believe it is important to track student progress and build instruction off of prior lessons. I hope to meet consistently with my students to ensure that they are improving and expanding their knowledge and abilities. I am excited to begin working with future students and seeing what they can accomplish!
As a teacher, there is no greater joy than seeing a student who is struggling finally understand a difficult concept. Through hard work and extra practice, I firmly believe that every student can succeed. I hope to empower my students with a positive growth mindset and the tools to improve in whatever subjects they are struggling with.
