I am an Iowa State University graduate with a passion for physics and an affinity for teaching. I have spent much of my life tutoring. That meant acting as a teaching assistant for algebra in high school, and continuing on to tutor trigonometry, analytical geometry, and calculus 1 through college. Eli reviewed my son's AP Physics test with him and was able to explain the problems in an easy to understand and relatable way. Eli used free body diagrams for added clarity and emphasized their importance in deconstructing problems. Great tutor and very responsive
Eli served as a tutor starting midway through the second semester of trig for our son who was beginning to struggle just a little and fearful of "not getting it" and falling behind. Eli's approach allowed him to connect instantly and address the immediate fear. After the second session our son stopped questioning the relevance of trig and his own conceptual understanding and started talking about how he was performing and how quickly he could recover from the first part of the semester. Eli remained his trig tutor throughout the semester and did a wonderful job. I would highly recommend Eli to others for trig and other advanced math tutoring.

Patient and creative in his approach to teaching!
Eli is a great person and tutor! My 10th grader was very apprehensive about working with a tutor for her physics class. However, after one session with Eli, she was looking forward to working with him again. After her first session, she said "mom I finally got it." That's all that I needed to hear. He does whatever it takes to help his student, even if it means creating his own visual aid. I would highly recommend Eli.
