Hello! My name is Abdikadir, and I enjoy helping students understand challenging subjects and build confidence in their abilities. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, where I completed advanced mathematics coursework through Calculus IV.
During the 2024–2025 school year, I worked as a Substitute Teacher for Milwaukee Public Schools. I taught students from elementary through high school, frequently covering math classes. This experience taught me how to adapt my teaching to different learning styles and explain concepts in ways that make sense to each student.
While in college, I also organized study groups for math and economics courses. I often helped classmates understand difficult material and prepare for quizzes and exams, which strengthened my communication and teaching skills.
I also served nearly 10 years in the Army National Guard, where I developed discipline, leadership, and reliability. I currently work as an Income Maintenance Specialist, explaining complex policies and helping people solve problems every day.
I am confident tutoring elementary and middle school math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, introductory Economics, and study skills. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, gain confidence, and achieve their academic goals.
