My name is Tanneh H, and I’m thrilled you’re here, considering taking the next step in your journey to learn. Whether you’re completely new, looking to improve your fluency, or seeking help with a specific course or exam, I’m here to guide you with patience, encouragement, and a deep love for teaching.

I’ve been teaching Spanish for several years now, and my experience as both a student and a teacher has helped me build a tutoring style that is supportive, engaging, and flexible to your needs. I hold a Master of Arts in Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Bachelors degree in Spanish and English (with a minor in Creative Writing) from Lawrence University. During my graduate studies, I worked as a Teaching Assistant for the Spanish department at UWM, where I independently taught beginner- and intermediate-level college Spanish courses. That meant designing and delivering lessons, writing exams, leading classroom discussions, and providing detailed feedback on speaking and writing tasks. I also worked closely with individual students outside of class to help them overcome challenges, build confidence, and improve their comprehension.

Before graduate school, I served as a Spanish and writing tutor at Lawrence University, where I worked with students across a wide range of academic levels. I assisted heritage speakers preparing essays, beginner learners practicing vocabulary and pronunciation, and advanced students trying to fine-tune their grammar and express abstract ideas. My work as a writing tutor also involved helping students think critically and express themselves clearly with skills that are absolutely crucial in language learning.
