Hello! My name is Anna. I got my BA from Silver Lake College in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. There I studied English with minors in History and Art. I volunteered during my time there in the writing lab, especially helping other students with essay writing. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee in 2022 with an MA in English and a focus in Creative Writing.
I have been working recently in a teacher assistant role in various classrooms in the Milwaukee area, occasionally taking on tutors as a volunteer job for family friends. I have helped mostly high school students, special education students included, though I am well acquainted with material through university level. My several years experience in high school has often involved writing, editing of writing, and essay prep skills. I also have experience with helping children and adolescents better their reading skills.
My approach to tutoring believes in listening to the student's goals versus where they are, and building concrete steps to get them there. I welcome feedback from parents and students as well as any information that can help me help you be successful.
