Hello! I attended the University of Minnesota, and recently earned my Master's in Education from Bethel University. This education has given me a strong understanding of modern educational theories, instructional design, and how people learn.
I have experience both teaching at a major public high school and tutoring at the high school level for a national tutoring business. I taught for 1 year following my graduation before pursuing a career in corporate training, but I am looking to continue helping students achieve their educational goals as it is a passion of mine.
So far, I have 3 years of tutoring experience, including teaching ACT test prep to small groups of students, acting as a mentor for a college-level writing and business/economics student, and providing 100s of one-on-one tutoring sessions with students from age 5-21 in a wide variety of subjects while working at a nationally recognized tutoring business.
My teaching style is relateable, logical, and technology-centric. I always make sure to ask enough questions to understand where my students may be misunderstanding before spending time on a topic, and then do what I can to simplify any difficult concepts. No matter my student's age or ability, I try to get on their level of understanding.
