Hi there! I’m Megan and I received a degree in Math Education and have my teaching certificate for secondary (high school) math in Wisconsin. I was a high school math teacher for 5 years. I primarily taught Algebra and Geometry for all 5 years that I taught. During those 5 years I also taught Algebra and Geometry support classes to help students who struggled with math and also tutored for Algebra, Geometry, and Algebra 2.

While I no longer teach, I still work in education for a college access company to help get students to top colleges. I love that in this role I can continue to help my students with their math classes. I care a lot about helping students feel successful and gain confidence in their math abilities. I think everybody can be successful in math.
I believe that learning is more successful with a caring teacher or tutor who tries to understand the student and their strengths and weaknesses first. I try to do exactly that. I work with students by building up a trusting relationship and then try to build a student’s confidence in themselves from there. I have many resources to utilize and can build a lesson plan or curriculum depending on a student's needs. I think of each student as an individual and do my best to meet that student where they are.
Let's work together and I can help make math more enjoyable for you! As one student once said in my classroom: "I never knew that math could be fun!"
