Experienced Math and Science Tutoring by a Pediatrician

I'm Sharie! I'm a pediatric resident doctor training to become a pediatric cardiologist. I love kids and inspiring them to learn as much as I have always loved learning and am therefore very passionate about tutoring. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Marquette University's Biomedical Sciences program, and thus have a very strong math and science background. I also graduated from the Honors college which entailed taking many advanced English, Philosophy, and Theology courses. I minored in Psychology with straight A's and can therefore tutor most first, second and third year psychology courses. Due to my doctoral degree in medicine and my biomedical sciences bachelor's degree, I can also teach college level introductory biology, physics, chemistry and math as well as anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, pathology, and microbiology. I succeeded on the SAT exam, biology and chemistry SAT subject tests, the MCAT, and Step 1 and Step 2 USMLE exams and can thus help with standardized test preparation.

I have tutored elementary, middle, and high school students in the past and love breaking down difficult concepts to help students excel in their classes. For the past seven years, I have been helping elementary and middle school students at a local homeless shelter with homework help and enrichment in math and language classes. I spent three months during the summer before medical school tutoring students at Mathnasium to enhance their math skills. I also have four years of experience tutoring high school students in biology, chemistry, English and math courses.
