While I enjoy working with children, my real passion lies with preparing adult learners for success with the Spanish language and culture of Spanish speaking countries. Adult learners have different goals and objectives and usually are very eager to put their learning to work. I have done quite a bit of occupational Spanish training with such courses as Spanish for Health Care Workers, Spanish for Landlords, and Spanish for Factory Managers, among other topics. I understand that adult professional employees want immediate results with language that is specifically related to their careers.
I hold a BA in Spanish and International Studies along with a MA in the Teaching of Languages-Spanish Concentration. In addition to my formal schooling, I have a variety of in country experience. I studied abroad in Colombia, South America and have traveled extensively to Spain and Mexico.
Before earning a teaching degree, I was employed in Atlanta, GA as the Assistant to the Deputy Consul at the Consulate General of Argentina. I understand the professional climate of doing business in Latin America.
