I'm Kiara! I earned my Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from Bellin College and am a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) through ARDMS. I have passed both the Sonography Principles and Instrumentation (SPI) exam and the OB/GYN specialty exam. Having recently gone through the registry process myself, I understand how overwhelming it can be to prepare for these exams and how helpful it is to have someone break down difficult concepts in a way that actually makes sense.

Throughout sonography school and my clinical experiences, I worked alongside other students and enjoyed helping explain concepts, work through questions, and talk through scanning and ultrasound principles. I am a very hands-on and visual learner myself, and I like bringing that into the way I teach. I enjoy creating study materials, practice activities, and personalized study schedules to help make a large amount of information feel more manageable. I also like using practice questions and explaining why an answer is right or wrong rather than having someone simply memorize the answer.

I am especially interested in helping sonography students and graduates prepare for the ARDMS SPI and OB/GYN registry exams. I know that everyone learns differently, so I want to adjust each session to what that student actually needs. My goal is to give students a comfortable place to ask questions, work through difficult concepts, stay on track with their studying, and ultimately feel more confident walking into their registry exam.
