Hello, everyone! My name is Brian - I have been teaching and tutoring for the LSAT, GMAT, GRE, ACT, and SAT for over 12 years, and I score in the top 1% on all of these tests. After years of working for Veritas Prep (an industry leader whose books I still use), I have recently moved from the Bay Area/Silicon Valley to Madison, Wisconsin. This will allow me to spend more time with my kids (ages 3 and 1), but also allows me to charge MUCH less than my rate in California. My credentials beat those of the best instructors at the big companies and I'm happy to "interview" via phone or teleconference before charging for a session. You have several options when preparing for your exam. If you compare me (a more experienced, higher-scoring instructor) to the big prep companies, you'll see that $124/hour is still less than they charge for a less-experienced instructor who only needs to score in the top 10% to teach for that company! Would you trust taking a college course from anyone who got an A in the class the previous semester? Of course not! You need to make the expense of grad school pay off - so don't trust "assembly line" test prep when one-on-one with a true expert costs less!

In this way, I'm sure that a few tutors here would do a much better job than the big companies. I sincerely hope that you hire another tutor here before you pay for an "assembly line" course through the two giant companies. That said, my experience and expertise stands up very well against my peers on WyzAnt. Most tutors here score very well... maybe not top 1%, but well. What sets me apart is thousands and thousands of hours of teaching and tutoring for the GMAT, LSAT, and GRE. Filter by price and check out the tutors who charge MORE than me... most don't even come close. ;)
