I am a Harvard University Master's candidate in Extension Studies in Biology with a 3.75 GPA, conducting my Master's thesis partnered with the Humanature Lab at UC San Diego, starting in June of 2026. My graduate coursework has focused heavily on genetics, molecular biology, technical writing, and science communication. I received a Bachelor of Science in December of 2022 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, double-majoring in Zoology and Conservation Biology with a certificate in Environmental Studies.

After graduating from UW-Madison, I conducted field research in Isle Royale National Park and the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, working alongside governmental and academic organizations studying animal populations. During my Master's, I have worked professionally in GMP biopharmaceutical research at Thermo Fisher Scientific, in genetics and genomics research through my own biotechnology startup, and in AI biology training for leading technology companies.

My teaching experience includes time as an Undergraduate teaching assistant for the Comparative Anatomy of Vertebrates lab sections at UW-Madison, where I led lab instruction, guided students through dissections, and prepared exams. My philosophy is that the goal of tutoring is not to give students answers, but to make the tutor no longer necessary. I use a guided approach that leads students toward their own conclusions rather than lecturing at them. When a student works through a problem and arrives at the answer themselves, it provides them with a level of understanding that passive listening never does. My goal is to teach students how to teach themselves; the best way to do this is to build the skills and confidence to handle unfamiliar problems and complex material. Sessions with me are active, conversational, constructive, low-pressure, and built around real-world examples. If you are ready to stop memorizing and start understanding, let's get to work.

Approved Subjects

Biostatistics

Biostatistics

My graduate coursework at Harvard has included biostatistics as a core component of biological research, with direct application to my thesis work on population demographics of wild Asian elephants. I completed biostatistics courses at UW-Madison as a part of my Zoology and Conservation Biology degree, where I learned to apply statistical methods to ecological datasets and field research. I also have experience training AI models on complex biostatistical content, which requires precision in explaining biostatistical concepts.
Earth Science

Earth Science

My background in environmental studies and conservation biology at UW-Madison included the study of earth systems, geology, and environmental processes as they relate to living systems. I have field research experience across multiple ecosystems, which required a working understanding of soil composition, hydrology, climate patterns, and landscape ecology. I am comfortable tutoring earth science at the beginner and intermediate levels.
Environmental Science

Environmental Science

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and Conservation Biology, with a certificate in Environmental Studies from UW-Madison. My field research spans multiple ecosystems, from National Park wildlife projects to endangered species work alongside government agencies. My graduate thesis at Harvard examines human-elephant conflict in Sri Lanka, which requires a strong understanding of habitat dynamics, land use change, and the human-wildlife interface. I am comfortable tutoring environmental science at the beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.
Essay Writing

Essay Writing

My graduate work at Harvard has required consistent high-level academic writing, from research proposals to scientific documentation. I am currently drafting my thesis proposal and have been praised by many professors for my strong ability to construct essays. At Thermo Fisher Scientific, I wrote and reviewed GMP-compliant technical documents, reports, and standard operating procedures under strict accuracy standards. I am comfortable helping students with essay structure, argument development, clarity, and editing at all levels.
Genetics

Genetics

My graduate coursework at the Harvard Extension School has focused heavily on genetics and molecular biology, including advanced study in genomics, gene editing, and synthetic biology. I am the co-founder of a biotechnology startup where I have completed the first full annotation of a key silk-producing gene in the most recent NCBI Bombyx mori reference genome. I also have experience training AI models on complex genetics content, which requires breaking down advanced concepts with clarity. I am fully comfortable tutoring genetics at the introductory, intermediate, and advanced levels.
Swimming

Swimming

I swam competitively throughout high school, reaching state for the 400 freestyle relay, 200 medley relay, 200 freestyle relay, and 100 freestyle. Before specializing in sprints, I swam exclusively long distance and most recently competed in the Bass Lake Yosemite Triathlon. I have a strong foundation in stroke technique, breathing mechanics, and training principles across all strokes. I understand how to break down technique for beginners and how to help intermediate swimmers build efficiency and endurance. I am comfortable tutoring swimming at the beginner and intermediate levels.
Zoology

Zoology

My graduate thesis at Harvard University, in partnership with the Humanature lab, focuses on demographic studies of the world's only monitored wild Asian elephant population and examines human-elephant conflict-driven changes in Sri Lanka. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and Conservation Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I also completed coursework in ecology, evolution, comparative anatomy, and physiology. I have field research experience across multiple ecosystems and species, from small-mammal trapping in National Parks to working on endangered species projects alongside government agencies. I am comfortable tutoring zoology at the beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.
