I have been a teacher and coach for my entire professional career. I have a good relationship with my students and I believe that I can be especially helpful in this format. I think the opportunity to discuss topics and apply those ideas to history is a critically important skill, and I hope that I will be able to assist students understand concepts and think critically about the important events of the past.

He is an expert on how to deal with DBQ
My son had two APUSH lessons with Michael and these were the most valuable ones as my son described. My son got good grades on multiple choices but he always got D or F for LEQ and DBQ so my son and I thought he could get 3 or (maximum) 4 for the AP exam. But my son realized his ideas were too general or 'universal altruistic' (quote from Michael) and his reasoning was too weak when he had lessons with Michael. The thing was that the test was on May 5th and the lessons happened on May 2nd and 3rd. My son tried to follow Michael's directions and he got a score of 5. The change was too dramatic to believe. Of course, my son worked hard to fix his problem but it was not all. Michael carefully listened to my son's ideas and logic and quickly figured out what was wrong with my son's essays. Michael highlighted what to fix. Before Michael, my son had another tutor but he didn't get detailed feedback from the tutor. If you are looking for a teacher who is highly experienced and knowledgeable with great teaching skills, ask Michael if he has an available spot for your kid. You will not regret it. Thank you Michael!
