I am a Registered Nurse that provides training, education, guidance, and support to a school district that holds over 1,300 staff members and students. In order to be successful in this role, one must have excellent communication skills, be up to date with standards of care and current practices, and be flexible, self-sufficient, empathetic, and understanding. These qualities will contribute to my being a strong educator in the capacity of a tutor as well. I also have work experience in an acute care setting, in which I was responsible for being a preceptor to and assisting newly hired RN's, nurse externs, and student nurses.
In addition, I am currently pursuing my Master's of Nursing, with a concentration on Education. As I continue to gain knowledge in this field, and become closer to obtaining my degree, my skills as a tutor, and teacher, will only improve.
I graduated within the last two years so the education I received is based on the most relevant, and current information. As previously mentioned, I am in the process of obtaining a higher level of education as well, so I have access to additional resources, and will remain informed on best practices within the field of nursing.
