In my junior and senior years of college I tutored math, physics, all chemistry courses except physical chemistry at least 4 hours per day. I have tutored chemistry, nursing and biology students in organic chemistry with good success. I am getting ready to retire in the next few years and I would love to tutor chemistry and pass the knowledge I have accrued along to others, prior to and during my retirement. It's a fascinating and wonderful world and chemistry plays a role in making the world the way it is. I like to share my passion.
What makes me an outstanding Organic Chemistry tutor would be my love of chemistry and my understanding that when someone hires a tutor, they want to pass the course with the best grade possible. I have a unique and simple way of looking at chemistry which translates well to those with and without a chemical background. I tend to speak plainly to those I am instructing. I trained many chemist in my field of work. I teach Brown Stock Washing for TAPPI every year for the past 5 years (washing and cleaning pulp on an industrial level). I was also trained by the US Air Force to be an instructor.
With my previous tutoring background, the training of chemists, the instructing I do with my peers, my military training along with my love of chemistry makes me a good tutor for Organic Chemistry.
