I help struggling readers, including students with dyslexia, build confident, lasting reading skills. I also support students with ADHD by teaching executive-function strategies that improve focus, organization, and follow-through.

I am a certified Reading Specialist with over 20 years of experience working with students in grades K–8. My approach is grounded in structured literacy and the science of reading, with explicit instruction in phonics, decoding, spelling, fluency, and comprehension.

Many of the students I work with feel frustrated or discouraged before we begin. I create a calm, supportive environment while setting clear goals so students know exactly what they’re working on and why. Families often see growth in both reading skills and confidence.

In our first session, I identify skill gaps and create a targeted plan tailored to your child’s needs. If your child struggles with reading, attention, or organization, I would be happy to help.

Genuinely Kind and Knowledgeable Tutor

Elizabeth is a genuine, patient, and knowledgeable tutor. In my case, I did not have the funds to pay her originally requested amount. I was pleasantly surprised when she agreed to generously reduce her rate to fit my budget. Elizabeth concern for her students reaches far beyond academic material as she takes a vested interest in the overall welfare of her students. As a student with Autism, I can guarantee you that she has the ability and kindness to assist students with special needs or those who simply need a little extra patience. Elizabeth would be an asset to any student looking to improve their reading skills, test skills, writing skills, or knowledge of English.
