Hi! My name is Summer, and I recently graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics. Throughout college, I served as a Teaching Assistant for university engineering courses, where I worked with students to help them understand challenging concepts, prepare for exams, and build confidence in their problem-solving abilities. My background has given me a strong foundation in mathematics, physics, and engineering, and I enjoy helping students discover that these subjects can be much more approachable than they first seem.

My tutoring philosophy is centered on understanding rather than memorization. I strive to create a supportive, patient learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through problems at their own pace. Whether we’re reviewing homework, preparing for a test, or strengthening foundational skills, I tailor each lesson to the student’s individual learning style and goals. My objective is not only to help students improve their grades but also to help them become more confident and independent learners.

In addition to my teaching experience, I work as an Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer, where I apply mathematics and physics to solve real-world engineering problems every day. I tutor subjects including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus, calculus, physics, and general science for middle school, high school, and introductory college students. I look forward to helping you achieve your academic goals!
