With over a decade of teaching experience, I am prepared to tutor students in English Language Arts and Writing. My educational journey includes degrees in English Literature and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, ESL certification from Edgewood College, and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Cardinal Stritch University. This diverse foundation has allowed me to refine my teaching practices and develop a holistic approach to language instruction, benefiting students of all levels and learning styles.
For eight years, I have taught AP English Language and AP English Literature, focusing on composition and college-level writing. My teaching experience spans all high school grade levels, including large and small classroom settings, Special Education, and co-taught environments. I emphasize critical thinking, structured argumentation, and clear expression, helping students excel academically and develop skills essential for future success. Additionally, I have prepared students for the ACT and SAT, particularly in English and Reading, using targeted strategies to improve comprehension and test-taking confidence.
Beyond classroom instruction, my methods focus on personalized guidance and fostering a passion for language. Whether helping a student refine their essay or guiding them through complex literary analysis, I aim to make English engaging and accessible, empowering learners to achieve their full potential.
