I have been a licensed Chinese architect. After moving to the US, I have worked in the architectural field for three more years and changed my career to education. I had been a math and science teacher in a private school for nine years and currently work as a substitute teacher. My last job was a long-term substitute math teacher in a local public high school teaching 9th, 10th and 12th graders. Currently I am licensed in IL and am in the process of obtaining a WI teaching license. I have master's degrees in architecture, urban & regional planning, and education (secondary math from 9th to 12th grades).
I have experience in teaching and tutoring students from 3rd grade to 12th grade in either a classroom of 25 students or one-on-one settings. My method is breaking down the concepts and using examples for modeling and student practicing. The materials used in tutoring could be prepared by me or anything the student brings.
