For over 25 years, I've had the privilege of serving as a dedicated classroom teacher with the Department of Defense Dependents Schools. My extensive career has taken me across the globe, from Germany and England to Panama and, finally, to West Point, where I've consistently fostered engaging and effective learning environments for a diverse range of students. My greatest educational reward lies in helping students unlock their potential and achieve academic success.
My commitment to education is further underscored by my Master's degree in Education, complemented by significant in-service training. This professional development includes specialized programs like "Hands-on Algebra" and the "6 Plus 1 Writing Method," equipping me with a versatile toolkit of instructional strategies in both language and math.
I also bring valuable experience in various educational settings, including English as a Second Language (ESL), adult education, and compensatory education in both math and reading. My background spans from intermediate level instruction to specialized support, allowing me to adapt my approach to meet individual student needs effectively. I am confident that my comprehensive experience and dedication will make a meaningful impact on the students I tutor.
