I completed a dual major at the University of Washington in History and Southeast Asian Studies before moving to the Philippines. I studied history at a graduate school there before moving back to the US during the pandemic to complete my degree at Eastern Washington University.
I love learning about other cultures and completed two study abroad programs during my time in college. My first was to Bosnia, Serbia, and Croatia. My second was to the Philippines which was my inspiration to continue my education there after graduating. I love traveling and have been to many countries all around Asia and Europe.
Although my academic career has been focused on Southeast Asia, I have experience in other regions as well. My graduate degree focused on general history. I took classes on America, Britain, Latin America, and World History. I have also interned at the Asian American Museum in Seattle and my local history museum in my hometown.
I look forward to learning together in whater topic you have. I feel we can learn a lot from each other.
