Current Yale University student as a double major in Ethics, Politics, & Economics, and African American Studies. I’ve been accepted into several other Ivy League and top university programs and I’ll use my success and knowledge in this area to help my students achieve similar outcomes. I’m particularly adept at understanding what makes a good college application essay. I’ve been proofreading essays of the middle and high school level for a couple of years now.

I’ve always loved tutoring, but am hoping to save enough money through this tutoring venture to help afford my college tuition!
I’ve tutored for 5 years, ages 4-17, led classes and personalized tutoring, taught a variety of different subjects from General Schoolwork Planning to English to Math to Test Prep and College Application help.
Being closer in age with my students, I’m better positioned than most tutors to offer a welcoming learning environment where they feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions without the pressure of pleasing an intimidating older teacher.
I’ve received perfect scores in both the English and Reading sections, as well as near perfect in the composite score for the ACT, as well as scoring 1500+ on the SATs, and was a national merit scholar with the highest index score in the country for the PSAT. I’ve studied these tests for many years, and have a very strong grasp on the exam structure, knowing all of the tricks needed to master them.
English, particularly grammar skills and reading comprehension are my bread and butter and I’m eager to share what I have learned with my students!
Please don’t hesitate to reach out. No pressure! We can just have a discussion of what your needs and future goals are and see if we are a good fit.
If you have further inquiries about my work or you are looking for a tutor of another subject, please feel free to contact me.
