I am a professional LSAT tutor and former attorney living in Washington. After graduating with honors from The George Washington University Law School, where I was a managing editor of the law review, I practiced in the DC office of a large international law firm, where I specialized in media, privacy, and cybersecurity law.

I know from my own experience that the LSAT is more learnable than most people realize, and I've spent the last several years proving it by helping students achieve their goals via one-on-one tutoring. Studying for this test requires hard work and dedication, but that doesn't mean it has to be a nightmare. In my tutoring sessions, I try to keep the mood light and help students engage with the material as much as possible.

My 177 on the LSAT, which included a perfect score on the logic games section, was the result of several months of thoughtful practice and painstaking review. I know what worked for me, and I know that my approach is one most students are able to benefit from.

But you need a tutor with more than just a high score. You need someone you can talk to, who will listen to what you're having trouble with and help you fix it. You need a tutor who will take your needs into account in every single session.

Are you just starting out with the LSAT and looking for someone to guide you from A to Z?
Are you studying on your own or with a name-brand test prep company and feeling stuck?
Are you pretty comfortable with the exam but seeking expert input on a few specific issues?
Are you retaking the exam after a disappointing result and wondering what to do differently?

I've helped students navigate each of these situations and many, many more. If you have questions about tutoring, please don't hesitate to contact me. If you know that one-on-one support is what you need and you're ready to get started, reach out and schedule a session with me. I look forward to hearing from you!

LSAT

A great LSAT score can change your life. My 177 took me from a bartending job and a low GPA to huge scholarship offers and a great law school. My students frequently achieve or exceed their score goals by relying on the knowledge and expertise I’ve developed over thousands of hours of LSAT tutoring. I don’t teach other subjects; I’m not a jack-of-all-trades “test prep expert.” I teach the LSAT the way it should be taught: with no gimmicks, no endless memorization of labels and categories, and no suboptimal strategies that will ultimately hold you back on test day. Let me show you the real LSAT. With patience, determination, and the right kind of practice, you’ll soon be on track to get a life-changing score of your own.

So appreciative of Paul!

I would not have been able to achieve my goal on the LSAT if it was not for Paul! I was squeezed for time and needed to increase my LSAT score, which I was able to do because of Paul's lessons and words of advice. He had so many great strategies for the test itself that I was able to use, and he was also a constant source of motivation to keep pushing me towards my goal! Would 100% recommend Paul to anyone who wants to increase their LSAT score!

The Obi-Wan of LSAT prep.

Paul is an incredible tutor! When I started meeting with Paul, I had already taken the LSAT twice. I was scoring fairly well in the reading comprehension and logical reasoning sections, but the analytical reasoning portion seemed absolutely unlearnable to me. I had tried several LSAT prep books and some online courses, but my score stayed the same. Paul immediately identified the issues in my approach to this section and clearly explained the correct strategy. He broke this strategy into a series of steps, which helped me to understand the kind of reasoning necessary for success in this section. He was also consistently kind, patient, and supportive. He took the time to encourage me when I felt frustrated, and I could tell that he was genuinely invested in my success. I had previously viewed the material as absolutely incomprehensible, and I felt pretty hopeless about my ability to improve. Paul helped me to regain faith in my ability to do well on this test. With his help, I was able to raise my score by nine points. I can't recommend him highly enough!

Lessons resulted in a 5-point jump

I came to Paul after months of hitting a wall with LSAT prep. I didn't think I could improve on the LSAT, but after a few lessons with Paul I noticed a significant difference in how I was approaching questions and reviewing them after prep tests. He explains things in a no-nonsense way, which honestly makes techniques straight-forward to internalize and practice. I took the LSAT for the 3rd time after a month of tutoring and received a score 5 points higher than my previous score, which has put me in the range for a majority of my target schools. It's definitely worth your time and money to invest in even a few lessons with Paul! I can't recommend it enough!

Friendly, funny, & incredibly helpful

Paul was incredibly patient with me and took extra time to get into everything that I had difficulty with on the LSAT. I really appreciate his knowledge and experience; right off the bat Paul knew exactly how to figure out my thinking and how to improve it. Highly recommend, and will definitely return for more instruction. Thank you Paul!

The LSAT Tutor I Needed!

When I first came to Paul I had recently taken the LSAT and wasn't satisfied with my score. I wanted to improve but I was plateauing and I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong especially since I knew the fundamentals. Paul understood the situation I was in and because of him I have been able to see the LSAT in a whole new way, literally. The harder questions that I would tend to get wrong, now I am able to see the trap answers, why they are trap answers and select the right answer. The way Paul teaches the LSAT was so instrumental in getting over that slump, and his knowledge is something that I haven't seen with other LSAT tutors that I've had before him! My biggest weakness was LR where I was getting around -8 on LR practice tests, now I don't get anything less than -3. He has also helped me with RC as well allowing me to PT in the high 160s and low 170s. But Paul cares as much about the score as making sure you understand the process to answering questions and getting them right especially the harder ones so that you are consistent every time and ready for test day. I couldn't recommend Paul enough, he is very compassionate and funny and he makes learning the LSAT easy and acing it possible. I am more confident in tackling my next LSAT test thanks to Paul!

Very helpful, patient and caring!

Paul is incredibly helpful and patient. He genuinely cares about his students and wants to see you succeed. He helped me with the LG section for almost half a year, and I am very happy with the progress I’ve made with him. Paul is non-judgmental, super supportive and great at breaking down the toughest concepts. I recommend Paul a 100 times over!
