Alongside the 15 years, I've taught kids of all ages, from 10 years old through people into their late 20's. I understand that everyone learns differently, and I approach this with an adaptable teaching style. I've used pictures, games, visualizations, or physically embodying the problem - whichever way suits them, I'm able to utilize that to help make vague concepts a lot clearer. I've taught anything from basic algebra, to trigonometry, to multivariable calculus.
During a typical session, I'll explain a concept, and then I'll make sure you understand it, either by having you explain it to me, or having you do a few similar problems on your own. I believe if you can teach it, you understand it. I'll always be there to nudge you in the right direction though!
I get what it's like to not completely understand something in class and then the teacher just moves on, so I provide a very patient and judgment-free zone, where you can learn at your own pace. I can help fill in those gaps that you may have so you can have the confidence going into the next test, or to even tutor someone yourself! I'm excited to help you push through your frustration and turn math into something you understand!
