Welcome to my profile! My interest in teaching began through helping my brother who has ADHD with Algebra II homework. I realized that patience and a simple explanation could completely change someone's relationship with a subject. That experience pushed me to continue tutoring through the Schoolhouse platform. I eventually became a Senior SAT Tutor, where I lead small group SAT study courses with students from around the world. I also worked as a Kumon Classroom Assistant, supporting early learners in building foundational math and literacy skills.
Across both settings, I found that the most important thing before any lesson is trust. When a student feels safe making mistakes, learning accelerates. I adapt my approach to each learner. Some need step-by-step structure; others need to talk through their thinking out loud. I've worked with students ranging from elementary age through high school, in group settings and one-on-one, both in person and over video call.
