I have been passionate about working with children from the time that I volunteered with a local day camp during high school. This passion continued to develop as I worked in a after school program in the Tacoma School District in 2007. This particular experience gave me both experience working as part of a team, interacting with elementary age children, and also a chance to plan and carry out activities for elementary level students. Along with these experiences, I gained an ability to work in an educational environment with children that come from diverse backgrounds.
I am most passionate and competent with United States History in which I have my Bachelors degree. However, I also have tutored in algebra at Tacoma Community College.
